How crowded does Castells in Barcelona get?

The big castells diades at Plaça de Sant Jaume get packed, and the square fills well before the 1pm start on 24 September. Neighbourhood performances, like Gràcia's in August, are usually easier to see. We would arrive at least half an hour early and stand towards the front edges.
